On the sideThe Hamazons and alumni are very busy women who can be seen performing, teaching and playing at venues throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Here’s what we are up to:
Ashland Children's Theatre ~ offers a delightful assortment of classes, workshops, and summer camps for ages 4-17 (and the occasional improv class for big people!). Eve Smyth and co-director Kate Sullivan started Ashland Children's Theatre in 2004. Call 541.301.4549 to register or check out http://oswact.wordpress.com for more info.
Teen Theatre – Kyndra Laughery directs this Rogue Valley gem. Formerly known as Planned Parenthood’s Teen Theatre, and Crater Cabaret, the group is now under the sponsorship of Lotus Rising Project. This eclectic group of teens creates original material and performs locally on issues surrounding LGBT youth. Contact Kyndra through this website if you would like information regarding the Teen Theatre.
Theatre of the Crackpot Crones—Carolyn Myers teams up with playwright/comedienne Terri Baum to create the outrageous, hilarious, feminist, touring duo. Their theatre is an evening of scenes, monologues and improvisations—interspersed with stories of adventures in the women’s movement. For more information check out http://www.crackpotcrones.com
